To help with link building and assist visibility, it pays to list a good business description (with your keywords) on the major online directories.
Some of these also allow reviews – so keep this in mind when asking for a testimonial. Affable customers can put it straight onto sites like True Local – affording you maximum social proof.

Thank you for this list.
I’ve noticed that some of these have a PR that’s too low or an Alexa traffic rank that’s too high to be worth the investment. Also, some require payment for a link to your website and some use a redirecting script on their links, which means no link love.
Either way, using these directories will improve ranking and traffic of any Australian/local site.
You may wish to include this directory to your list.
